USDA Plant Hardiness Map. Find your location to see if the trees we offer are hardy in your area. Please remember, if you are in the far northern or southern part of a plant hardiness range, your microclimate will make a difference in the survival of the plant. Protection from harsh winter winds in the north and partial shade through the day in the south can make all the difference in plant survival.

The first word is average. Average does not show extreme outlier winter or summer temperatures. A plant that is hardy in zone 6 might be killed if you have a zone 4 outbreak of extreme cold.

The USDA Plant Hardiness Map should be used as a general guide but not a rule that says how hot or cold it can be. A plant can be generally hardy in a zone and still be killed or damaged by an extreme event.
